The market bounced back with moderate gains

The market bounced back with moderate gains amid mixed global cues on Wednesday. The Sensex rose 53.49 points to 26721.45 and the Nifty advanced 20.70 points to 8180.80.

Benchmarks also reacted positively to better-than-expected GDP data at 7.9 percent for the fourth quarter FY16 and five-year high of 7.6 percent for full year.

Axis Bank, ITC, M&M, BPCL and Tata Power were early gainers while Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, NTPC and SBI declined.

The Indian rupee opened flat at 67.24 per dollar against previous close of 67.26.

Get Top Calls when market is down

The market is still reeling pressure with the Nifty hovering 8150. The Nifty is down 19.45 points or 0.2 percent at 8159.05 and the Sensex is down 77.08 points or 0.3 percent at 26648.52. About 762 shares have advanced, 1322 shares declined, and 96 shares are unchanged.

Tata Motors, NTPC, Maruti, Tata Steel and Lupin are top gainers in the Sensex while losers are Sun Pharma, GAIL, Infosys, TCS and Bharti Airtel.

Gold futures were up by Rs 41 to Rs 28,644 per 10 gram as speculators raised their bets amid positive cues from global markets. Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices to a firming trend overseas.

Moreover, drop in the dollar also boosted demand for bullion as an alternative asset, they added. Meanwhile, gold was trading 0.64 per cent higher at USD 1,212.60 an ounce in Singapore.

The market has opened strong | Get Super Calls

The market has opened strong supported by index heavyweights. The Sensex is up 111.59 points or 0.4 percent at 26765.19, and the Nifty is up 35 points or 0.4 percent at 8191.65. About 661 shares have advanced, 281 shares declined, and 35 shares are unchanged.

Coal India, SBI, Tata Steel, Adani Ports and Sun Pharma are top gainers while BHEL, ITC, Asian Paints, L&T and HDFC are losers in the Sensex.  

The Indian rupee opened lower by 18 paise at 67.21 per dollar versus 67.03 Friday.

The market has opened strong | High Profit

The market has opened strong on Friday. The Nifty has touched 8100 briefly beginning June series . The 50-share index is up 24.25 points or 0.3 percent at 8093.90. The Sensex is up 78.72 points or 0.3 percent at 26445.40. About 504 shares have advanced, 204 shares declined, and 34 shares are unchanged.

Sun Pharma, Lupin, SBI, Axis Bank and Adani Ports are up while L&T, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank, Dr Reddy's Labs and HDFC Bank are losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee extended gains. The currency has opened at 67.02 a dollar, up 15 paise compared to previous day's closing value of 67.17 a dollar. The USD-INR pair after briefly trading above 67.50 per dollar has moved back into the 66.50-67.50 range tracking global dollar weakness and positive equities.

Trading Tips on Daily Basis

Equity benchmarks started off Thursday's trade on a positive note, continuing upside for third consecutive session. The Sensex rose 138.25 points to 26019.42 and the Nifty climbed 31.55 points to 7966.45.

L&T shares rallied 9 percent in early trade as brokerages turned bullish on the stock after better-than-expected earnings in January-March quarter. Citi has upgraded the stock to buy from neutral and target price raised to Rs 1,640 from Rs 1,230 apiece.

Tata Steel fell nearly a percent after reporting a loss of Rs 3,279 crore in Q4.

The Indian rupee has opened flat at 67.32 per dollar today against previous day's closing of 67.33.

The market has opened with gains. The Sensex is up 254.50 points or 1 percent at 25559.97 and the Nifty is up 79.25 points or 1 percent at 7828.10. About 602 shares have advanced, 102 shares declined, and 22 shares are unchanged.

Axis Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Adani Ports and Lupin are top gainers while Cipla and Coal India are losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee opened higher by 12 paise at 67.63 per dollar against previous close of 67.75. The US dollar hit its highest level against the euro in more than eight weeks and rallied against the yen and Swiss franc on increased expectations for an interest rate hike in coming months from the US Federal Reserve.

Share Market Tips and Free Calls

Equity benchmarks rebounded sharply on Monday morning with the Sensex rising 180.90 points to 25482.80. The Nifty reclaimed 7800 level, up 64.25 points or 0.83 percent at 7813.95.

ITC topped buying list on Sensex, up more than 6 percent after brokerages turned upbeat on the stock post quarterly earnings. Citi has upgraded the stock to buy from neutral and raised target price to Rs 390 from Rs 335.

Tata Power gained 1.5 percent ahead of March quarter earnings. Adani Ports, ICICI Bank, HUL, SBI, Hindalco and Aurobindo Pharma were other early gainers while HDFC, Lupin, NTPC and GAIL were losers.

The Indian rupee gained in the early trade today. It has opened higher by 14 paise at 67.30 per dollar against 67.44 Friday.

The market has opened marginally higher

The market has opened marginally higher and the Nifty held 7800 briefly. The Sensex is up 35.74 points or 0.1 percent at 25435.46, and the Nifty up 9.15 points or 0.1 percent at 7792.55. About 437 shares have advanced, 229 shares declined, and 40 shares are unchanged. SEBI has tightend P-Notes for more transparency in compliance with norms and check misuse of P-Notes.

The market has opened on positive note

The market has opened on positive note Thursday as the Sensex is up 103.90 points at 25700.92, and the Nifty is up 25.05 points at 7873.90. About 487 shares have advanced, 129 shares declined, and 32 shares are unchanged. 

ICICI Bank, L&T, BHEL, Cipla Dr Reddy's Lab are the top gainers while HDFC Bank, HUL anf Infosys are the top losers. 

Asian markets trading lower on Thursday, after US stocks dropped in reaction to disappointing earnings reports from key consumer discretionary and retail names. 

US stocks dropped on Wednesday and the Dow Jones industrial average suffered its worst day since February as feeble quarterly reports from Walt Disney, Macy's and Fossil undermined confidence across the consumer sector. 

The Indian rupee opened marginally weak at 66.63 per dollar on Thursday against previous close of 66.56.
