The market has opened flat | Top Calls

The market has opened flat on Wednesday. The Sensex is up 75.90 points or 0.3 percent at 26469.91 and the Nifty is up 27.70 points or 0.3 percent at 8169.85. About 273 shares have advanced, 64 shares declined, and 22 shares are unchanged.

Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank and GAIL are top gainers while ONGC, Bharti Airtel and Cipla are losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 68.67 per dollar versus 68.65 Tuesday.

The market has opened weak as the Sensex is down 118.97 points

The market has opened weak as the Sensex is down 118.97 points or 0.4 percent at 26197.37. The Nifty is down 39.25 points or 0.5 percent at 8075.05. About 437 shares have advanced, 396 shares declined, and 45 shares are unchanged.

Cipla, Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp, Wipro and Adani Ports are top gainers while SBI, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, ONGC and GAIL are losers in the Sensex. Banks are under pressure as Reserve Bank of India has asked banks to maintain an incremental cash reserve ratio of 100 percent, the  move is estimated to suck out around Rs 3.24 lakh crore of excess liquidity from the system and will be applicable on deposits between September 16 and November 11 fortnights. Bonds and bank stock will take a hit in trade today.

The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 68.42 per dollar on Monday versus 68.46 Friday.

The market has opened firm as the Sensex is up 70.47 points

The market has opened firm as the Sensex is up 70.47 points or 0.3 percent at 25930.64. The Nifty is up 29.95 points or 0.4 percent at 7995.45. About 571 shares have advanced, 147 shares declined, and 32 shares are unchanged.

Bharti, TCS, Infosys, Axis Bank and GAIL are top gainers while HDFC twins, L&T, Cipla and ONGC are losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee opened flat at 68.72 per dollar on Friday versus previous close 68.73. The government rushed to allay fears after the rupee drops to an all-time low of 68.86 to the dollar before recovering on perceived RBI intervention.

The commerce minister said, rupee fluctuation has been factored in by exporters.

The market has once again opened flat


The market has once again opened flat. The Sensex is down 11.96 points at 26286.73 and the Nifty is down 8.15 points at 8103.45. About 244 shares have advanced, 124 shares declined, and 30 shares are unchanged.

BHEL, GAIL, Adani Ports, Tata Motors and HUL are top gainers while Dr Reddy's Labs, Sun Pharma, Coal India, Cipla and ICICI Bank are losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee opened higher by 5 paise at 67.89 per dollar versus 67.94 Wednesday.

The market has seen a super strong opening

The market has seen a super strong opening after losing 1200 points in last two consecutive sessions. The Nifty is up 95.45 points or 1.2 percent at 8203.90 and the Sensex is up 257.01 points or 0.9 percent at 26561.64. About 781 shares have advanced, 134 shares declined, and 25 shares are unchanged.

Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, Tata Motors and SBI are top gainers while Axis Bank is down.

The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 67.68 per dollar versus previous close 67.74.

Domestic equity benchmarks opened on a negative note


Domestic equity benchmarks opened on a negative note on Tuesday, with the BSE benchmark Sensex tumbling over 300 points, while the Nifty50 slipped below 8,200 in early trade. Bank of BarodaBSE 7.56 % surged 6 per cent, while Tata MotorsBSE -7.22 % slumped following September quarter results. 
At 9.20 am, the BSE barometer was trading 218.72 points, or 0.82 per cent, lower at 26,600, after hitting a low of 26,474.55. Brisk selling was seen in banking and auto stocks such as SBI, ICICI BankBSE 0.07 %, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors. 

Nifty50 was down 76.90 points, or 0.93 per cent, at 8219.40.

The Sensex is down 1584.19 points or 5.7 percemt at 26006.95

It is a blood bath on Dalal Street as nervous investors sell with Donald Trump leading in US elections . The government's decision to withdraw Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in an attempt to curb black money is hitting the market.

The Sensex is down 1584.19 points or 5.7 percemt at 26006.95, and the Nifty down 474.00 points or 5.6 percent at 8069.55. About 35 shares have advanced, 1218 shares declined, and 18 shares are unchanged.

ICICI Bank, BHEL, Adani Ports, Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki are losers.

The market has opened on a strong note | Top Morning Calls

The market has opened on a strong note as autos and IT stocks support. The Sensex is up 126.94 points or 0.5 percent at 27585.93 and the Nifty up 43.15 points or 0.5 percent at 8540.20. About 403 shares have advanced, 87 shares declined, and 23 shares are unchanged.

ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, BHEL, Adani Ports and ONGC are gainers while HUL is the only loser stock in the Sensex.

The market has opened with strong gains

The market has opened with strong gains supported by firm global cues as FBI cleared presidential candidate Hillary Clinton of potential criminal charges in its private email server probe.

The Sensex is up 280.29 points or 1 percent at 27554.44, and the Nifty up 99.75 points or 1.2 percent at 8533.50. About 639 shares have advanced, 96 shares declined, and 41 shares are unchanged. Lupin is up 7 percent while Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, SBI and Adani Ports are gainers. Tata Motors is in red. Boosted by strong Q2 results, PNB is up 5 percent.

The Indian rupee opened marginally lower by 4 paise at 66.74 per dollar versus 66.70 Friday.

The market has opened with down trend

The market has opened with severe cuts as Federal Reserve meeting on rate decision ends today while global peers are also rattled. Asian markets were weak after Wall Street's "fear index" spiked on jitters over the US presidential election.

The Sensex is down 276.16 points or 0.9 percent at 27600.45 and the Nifty is down 91.20 points or 1 percent at 8535.05. About 262 shares have advanced, 952 shares declined, and 26 shares are unchanged. Axis Bank, Tata Motors, L&T and Reliance were losers in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 66.78 per dollar versus previous close 66.71.
